I’m not sure if anyone watched the movie, “An American Crime” but it is a movie based on the true story of the torturing death of Sylvia Likens. I only watched the last bit of the movie but I noticed in the description that it was based on a true story so I went and did a little research. The information I found was unbelievable.

Sylvia Marie Likens and her sister Jenny was dropped off at the home of Gertrude Baniszewski with her 7 kids to be taken care of. Gertrude Baniszewski and her kids began torturing Sylvia inhumanly when payments for her stay came late. It was said that Sylvia had taken countless blows to the head (some so severed that would cause she to pass out), she was burned, branded, hit, battered, and eventually killed. These torments were not only inflicted by the Baniszewski family but many children in the neighborhood (encouraged and approved by Gertrude Baniszewski) would take turns torturing her. Coy Hubbard, Gertrude’s daughter’s boyfriend also got his share of the torment. “Coy practiced judo on Sylvia, flipping her against walls and onto the floor.” When the police arrived at the scene of the dead girl’s body, Gertrude denied all participation in the crime.

I think this is the most horrific thing I’ve ever heard of! How can people be so fucken heartless. It’s just unbelievable. What is even more unbelievable is how light the punishments were on the killers and participants. Gertrude Baniszewski was charged with first degree murder and was put behind bars for 2 decades then released on parole. With the crime she committed, she should have been sent to the death penalty or at least life in prison without parole. Most of the charges for participants of the crime were dropped. Paula Baniszewski, one of the most vicious tormentor, was sent to jail but was released only a few years later. The rest were charged with manslaughter but only spent a 18 months behind bars. I seriously don’t understand how the justice system works in America. I think people who abuse their pets get worst sentences than what these shittie-ass people got. What the fuck? I really don’t get it. Actually, I think death is too light of a punishment for these people, it would be an escape. If it was up to me, I would want them to endure all the tortures Sylvia Likens did. I would have no sympathy for them what so ever. Arg. It seriously pisses me off seeing crimes like these go unpunished or barely punished. It’s just unfair.

Sorry for the lack of activeness, I really haven’t got the slightest idea of what to blog about anymore.

Since school is ending, everyone is going berserk over finals and school (and summer in general). Maybe it’s also the unpredictable weather. Speaking of what; what the heck is going on with the weather? June is here but I am constantly finding myself wearing my mom’s oversize sweater around the house. Not to mention how the temperature drops to the mid 40’s at night. What’s going on with Earth. I guess the world is coming to an end sooner than we imagined. Heyyy maybe we can migrate to Mars huh? *nudge nudge* lol.

Hm… I really want to do something fun with this site. There’s just not much to do around here. Maybe I’ll host a contest or something and give out some ridiculously fun prizes (or.. something sentimental; whichever is cheaper lol). I haven’t done anything graphical for awhile, aside from my layout, so maybe I’ll put up a request page of some sort… layouts maybe? Any idea?

Anyway, I’ll stop with my on-going rambles now. There are salsa and chips waiting to be eaten. Bye guys, thanks for commenting!

I heard this girl in my class got accepted into Berkley. I was pretty amazed since it’s Berkeley, hello BERKELEY. Anyways, so I asked her “Do you get grades?” and she got all offended saying, “yea I get good grades! Why wouldn’t I get good grades?! ‘Cause I’m black?!” I didn’t even fucken mean it that way. I know I should have stated the question differently like, ‘what did you get on your transcript for them to accept you?’, but she really didn’t have to take it that way. It was so uncalled for. I’m sorry but just because you’re black doesn’t mean everyone is out to get you or to judge you by your racial profile. Maybe I asked because you seemed like a total dumb-ass bitch. Have you thought of that? Why does it have to be your race? God. People these days.

I know African Americans have a long history of discrimination and racial prejudice, but don’t go inflicting your paranoia and sensitivity on everyone who said something negative [or in this case, sounds negative] to you. Asians [specifically Vietnamese girls] were and still are being sold and trade like merchandises, you know. You don’t see me going around saying, it’s cause I’m Asian?! UGH. I really don’t think using the unfortunate history of your people as an accusation make you right. In fact, it makes you look like you’re proud you were discriminated against because you can take racial offense in everything people say about you.
